I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 verizon...I can't get it to find my phone or the other way around...the Curve can not find the F700...I have updated the Bluetooth firmware. Any suggestions?
F700 can not find Blackberry Curve 8330
ok, if you have done everything right, as of turning the bt ON in your phone and search for device from unit, and make SURE to go into bluetooth on your phone, go to bluetooth options, and select "discoverable" and see if that works. also try pulling your battery on the phone since that is a soft reset.
if all that fails, and your unit still won't find your phone, try 2-3 other phones from your friends and family members, and if the f700 STILL won't find anything, then you have a faulty unit.
this happened to me, i had a f90bt and the bluetooth module in it burned out, the whole unit had to be replaced. thats the only way. trust me...its not the phone, since i have a curve, and had the SAME exact problems.
out of the box that combo worked for me with no issues,
Verizon 8330, and F700BT, they found and paired just fine, so it's not a known incompatibility on either side.
Woo Hoo...Its working. Thanks everyone!

So for future searchers who stumble on the topic, what resolved it?
I went into the Blackberry Options...Bluetooth...Selected Device Properties and made sure that ENCYRPTION was enabled...Then I ENABLED The Blackberry Curve Bluetooth and and paired it with the F700. It seems rather simple now...All I care is that it works!
