Hi -- can someone tell me if there are instructions to uprade the stock HDD anywhere? While I have seen marginal HDD upgrades (30G->60G) for sale I am confused why I can not find an available upgraded HDD to say 500G which are still extremely cheap. Additionally, is the HDD a 2.5" PATA type or SATA (I am assuming old school ATA).

Probably because it makes no sense. You can only use the additional space for storing music, and there's a 400 album limit in the firmware, which means you won't even be able to fill up 60 G disc.

Also it seems above 60G the system becomes unstable, with regular reboots etc....

It amazes me how manufacturers are limiting the potential technology available, makes me want to just hookup a permanent laptop in the car. Thanks for the replys!
