Hi,

I am very new and have done a bit of searching for the right software to:

1. Rip a DVD to my harddrive

2. Convert to MP4 or whatever format is best for use with AVIC

3. Change screen resolution to look best on AVIC

4. Any extra tips-shall I use Ipod or SD for video or doesn't it matter?

I am sure everyone knows how to do this already, I can't find a good resource to do all of this.

Thanks.

Hi there. I found that Handbrake [http://handbrake.fr/?article=download] can do all of the above. You can save the Pioneer settings as a preset. When you pop in a dvd, choose the preset and rip away!

Personally, I find the iPod interface is a better way to browse your video library. Browsing video content on USB is primitive at best.

Thanks for your help, I was on the right track, but couldn't get the settings correct. Thanks again.
