I played around with adding some stuff including bitmaps, while I got things going, and searched around the forums, the issue I have is the bitmap transparency. seems no matter what I do with the black background it still shows up. What is the trick to getting the bitmap to show transparent on the black portion?

what's the bitmap for and what software are you using for editing your bitmaps?

i haven't got a clue on the software your using, the software i use is photoshop C4, it has an option for alpha mask and what ever is drawn in that mask that would be the transparent area when it it appears on the navi screen,

good, just make sure that whatever background or part of an image you don't want to show up on your screen you should have it in the alpha mask
