I have this popping sound when I turn off the unit that only occurs in one of the speakers (right sub). The F700 is connect to an external amp only using RCA connections. I thought that the amp was bad so what I did was switch the RCA wires for the subs going into the amp (left-to-right and right-to-left) and the popping sound came from the left speaker. This means that the amp is fine and that something is wrong with the RCA connection. Is there anyway to test this???? I have a 2007 Maxima and the amp that I'm using to drive the Polk speakers is a JL A6450. Please help.

Thanks

if it only happens one one channel, and that channel changes when you switch the plugs, it sounds like a problem with either the RCA harness or the unit itself, also make sure that the RCA harness is plugged in all the way

RCAs are plugged in all the way. If it's the unit, I'll be pissed because this thing is less than 2 months old!

I haven't played around with amps in years, (question for 1loudls: ) but isn't there a delay on most amps that you can enable to eliminate this?

It's a newer amp so it should have the "soft" turn on and off built into it.
