Hello friends,

I am newbie as I have just installed on my car a F900BT  and I have been not able to transfer my HTC Diamonds contacts :x .

The fact is that when following normal procedure after pair with the telephone I try to send via Bluetooth the contacts, the Navi does not appear in the Diamond (it seems that it is not visible).

I have searched in the forum and tried another procedures with almost no success (I only was able once to send a single contact).

Has anyone in the forum been able to send the contacts from an HTC Diamond?

Cheers

How did you send it by one contact?

After connected, I select on AVIC new connection and then the pair from phone. At this time the AVIC is visible and thus I can choose send a contact but prior to send it I reconnect AVIC again and select transfer contacrs.

I tried to send all the contacts on that way but the time that need the HTC is so long that the procedure fail.

Any suggestion?

So, it is impossible to send the contacts from an HTC Diamond?.

What I will do is to use another phone as bridge. I mean sent all the contacts from the HTC to another phone that will be able to transfer the contacts.

I have found the following table with respect to BT compatibiliy. It is from Europe Pioneer web but it shall be applicable worlwide.

Ooops!!. No chance. It seems that the contacts are linked to the mobile connected. I mean I transfered contacts using a Sony Ericsson K800 (good one!) without any problem but when I reconnect the HTC Diamond, the contacts dissapear !!!

Contacts are stored in a database file in USER\UserData\PHONEDATA folder, which is named PhoneBook, something like PhoneBook2e310cf326.db (completely random number). If you fiund the Bluetooth MAC ID of your Diamond and rename the phonebook file from your Sony, you'll be able to use it...

Thanks BorisM. This worked.

I think that this "bridging" mtehod (including the database rename) could be added to the wiki as it should be valid for any kind of therminal .

I am having the same issue with my F500BT & HTC diamond too. The strange thing is I can transfer phonebook from my old HTC touch to the F500BT and also I can sync my phonebook from my diamond to my BMW idrive as well. But the Pio & Diamond combo just have no luck!!!!

So how can I find out the Mac ID from my Diamond? So once I add new contacts on my diamond, I need to re-do all this again?
