the 2 other map views work? rout and guidence view on the D1/D2 are unusable.... i don't hve a back up cam... so i can only use map view and VD... i wanna use them 2 views damnit! thanx!

The other 2 show up when you set up a destination.

and if youre unit is not bypassed, I don't believe you can switch to guidance view without having the parking brake engaged

I agree, but Pioneer disabled most Nav functions while in motion, unless you bypass the unit.

okay..... SO i put in a place where i wanna go... say... KFC and i hit okay and everything... i'm set and ready to go, i still can't change them views (i have bypassed everything)

The empty spot in the main harness is grounded and the parking spot is grounded?

Once you hit ok to go and it shows you your route....you press map and see all 5 icons? But you can't select Route view etc..... ????

yeah everything is grounded.... can someone just give me a step by step example of when i can use the other views?

yes i see the 5 icons but can only use 2

sounds like you dont have the unit properly grounded/bypassed.

And to use the other two views you have to have your destination set and you have to be travelling on that route. For example, I set a destination from my house but since my house is located in a subdivision that is new it isn't mapped on the navigation software so I can't change to guide or route view until I drive to where the green line is showing me where to go. And if I remember correctly once you start driving the route it automatically switches from map to guide mode (which basically looks the same except guide has flags that show up on the left that tell you how far it is to turn). Route mode shows the next 3 turns instead (guide mode only shows 2) but it takes up most of the screen so the map view is very narrow.

no/.. i have everything ground, eberything works as a bypassed d1 should work
