Hello All,

I tried searching for this everywhere but there is no direct answer to my problem.

Here is what i want to do.

I want to install F500 as In-Dash unit removing current Factory Headunit and use F500 as GPS/Bluetooth/Music player

Since factory headunit will go, I will need ND-G500 to connect f500 with car speakers.

But manual for ND-G500 assumes that you will use it along with headunit.

Please all audio/video gurus here on forum can guide me through process of connecting f500+ND-G500 to car speakers without Factory Headunit.

Please let me know with links what kind of parts will i need to make this happen.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think you "need" a factory head unit. Basically, the NDG500 takes the audio streams from the Avic and head unit and decides which gets priority. I'm not sure why you would do this with the F500 though, since it is not meant to be an in dash unit like the f700, 900, 90. You won't get radio reception with this unit, and it will be much more difficult to install in dash. But, it should be OK. I have had the bad fortune of having two bum 500's, so i'm waiting for my 3rd, with G500 installed. I think you'll be OK though. from what I remember, the amp just grabs the audio wires, and power, and without the factory unit I imagine it would be just like having the factory unit off (radio off).

yes you will be fine, just wire the outputs from the ng500 to the radio harness and leave the ng500 inputs (from the factory radio) alone and not hooked up to anything. why not just get the f700?
