I am thinking about getting the F500BT to integrate into my 2007 Honda Civic Si and had a few questions. First off the car currently has a factory amplifier installed. I was set on getting the f700 for a while, but I think i want to keep the factory look on the dash. My first question is on the installation, Is it as simple as hard wiring the power (probably through an add-a-circuit) and plugging an aux cable from the f500 to my aux port? I know there is a pioneer amp that goes along with the f500, but do I need it if my car already has a factory amp? I looked at the harness for the unit and it has quite a few more wires than just the power cable, do I need to splice into any wires in the car harness? How would the integration work with my stock system, would I just switch my stock headunit to the aux input and all of the f500 sound would be piped through my stereo? I plan on getting rid of my drive+play ipod unit and using this for my ipod, so sound quality would have to be top notch. Lastly, I know with the F700 you can do the bypass so all features work while driving, could I do that with this unit? I know I asked a lot of questions but I'm hoping I can get them cleared up before I decide to purchase it. Thanks a lot
Question on F500
if you have an AUX in, that would probably work really good, the only down side is that the system would not automaticly switch to and from the NAV for directions if you are listening to a CD or the radio

So I wouldn't have the problem of having to turn the stereo way up like I've read? I rarely ever listen to the radio or CD player so that wouldn't be a problem. I would be listening to my iPod 99% of the time.
Can I do a bypass with the F500?
Question on the above...
So, if I get a 500 and plug it into my factory stereo via aux input, it will play ipod through the stereo when the factory stereo is set on aux... ok great.
Now, for the nav and bluetooth phone, will that sound need to come out the factory head unit as well or is it possible to have that sound come out through the internal speaker on the 500?
Ideally, I would want to be able to have gps and bluetooth come from the 500 and ipod sound to go through aux in and through the head unit... would this work?
Both sounds from navigation and AV are controlled as a single entity, you cannot set navigation sound to head unit and AV/iPod to AUX. It actually works better this way because when BT or navigation announcement comes on, it'll mute the AUX/iPod which give you clearer notification and less background noise especially during phone conversation.
