I am new to this and need a bit of help. I had my F700 installed around 6 months ago and it has worked perfectly up to today. (All firmware is up to date.) I also have the controls hooked up through my steering wheel on my Audi A4. Riding down the road today my hand accidentally hit the skip track button on steering wheel. This is where the problems began. At that time, it rebooted the headunit. This all took place with my Ipod Touch 2nd gen hooked up through a Ipod interface cord. The unit continuously reboots when the ipod is connected and it will not recognize that the Ipod is hooked up. My Ipod does show that it is charging and hooked up.

 

I unplugged my Ipod and the unit powers up and everything works as normal. Plug the Ipod in and it just reboot continuously...PLEASE HELP, and keep in mind I did not hook this up myself so I am a bit of a noob. One note, I also attempted to reinstall the firmware, but it would not recognize that the sd card was even plugged in. Any help would be greatly appreciate....Thanks

Try changing the song on the iPod.

 

For some reason the songs on ONE album on my iPod (Incubus - Live in Japan 2004) will cause my F700 to do that. If any of those songs come up to play on the iPod the unit reboots and will stay in that reboot loop. If I disconnect the iPod the unit works fine and I figured out later if I just skip to the next song on the iPod and then connect it again, it's fine.

 

Then if you're able to figure out which album or song it is, you can delete it or try to get a different file. I have no idea what the issue could be with those specific files (should all just be regular MP3s)... but that seemed to be my issue. Maybe it'll help you?

Thanks for replying to my post. I did what you said and everything works fine again. Not sure what song it got stuck on but at least now I know if it happens again.
