I have a question. I have the F90 and am wondering how do i update the maps? i would be willing to paypal someone a few bucks if they would be so kind as to help. A while back i got amazing assistance "bypassing" the F90 and i love it. HOwever i have noticed more and more that my POI's are out dated and i run into places that dont exist and the maps a bit old as well. Thanks in advance!

You will be safe with the data files. Look at the hacks and mod section and read read read before you do the data mod. You can also find all your questions about map updates there also.

If you follow the directions on how to install the data.zip mods you will not brick your unit. Before you do anything though make a backup of the entire unit. Backing up the unit is in the wiki section or just do a search. Some of the modders have made it brainless. You just dl their mod put it on an sd card put the card in your unit tuurn it on and wait tfor the copy session to finish pull the card out and turn the unit off and then back on and you are done. Some of the other data mods you have to copy the data.zip over to your unit and into the right folder.
As far as maps go for the US the latest maps that you can get that will work in the avic is the 2008.04 maps. European modles can use 2008.10 maps. Just go to the hacks/mod section and do some reading every question you have will be answered.
