The harness that came with my f700bt doesn't have the yellow/black mute wire...

What's it used for, why don't I have it, and Can I still do the bypass?

I'm installing it tomorrow afternoon and noticed that the mute wire wasn't there earlier when wiring up my harnesses...

Just ground the parking brake wire and do the software bypass. My mod and many others already have it applied.

if you don't do the software bybass, you will get a message at 10mph saying the p. brake wire is improperly connected.

Do i still need to hook up the parking brake wire to my brake... or just ground it?

Just for anyone else wondering the same thing, I installed the 2.0 update, grounded my parking brake wire without hooking it to the actual brake wire... works like a charm.

I just got my F90BT today and will be installing it tonight when I get home from work. Do I only need to ground the parking break wire and apply the software bypass mod?

If i were you i would be the full hardwire bypass just to be on the safe side. It only takes a few more seconds to do if you are installing it yourself anyway.
