Seems the UK F900s have really poor POI database. For example, there were no BP garages showing in my area when I was sat outside one!.

Also I was sat in the carpark of a big local hotel and yep, not in the POI database. Is there anyway to add in poi packs to the F900?

You can add POIs in either UPOI (native iGO) or KML format. AVIC (or Navgate, I guess, for UK) Feeds software even has some functions for it.

ALternatively, you could try ddownloading the latest UK POI files for iGO and using those with a hacked license...

Bloody Navfeeds is rubbish too!!! It will only convert 300 at a time, how USEFUL NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm using POiEdit to convert TomTom OV2 files and there is a KML option, i'll try that.

That should work better.... If it can convert to UPOI format, this is even better yet...

Once you have the poi file converted what folder do you put it in on the unit?

\APL2\iGo\CONTENT\USERDATA\POI for KML files.

UPOIs would go either there or into \USER\UserData\iGo\save

Thank you Boris for responding! I put a .KML file and a UPOIs file in \USER\UserData\iGo\save I would assume to test it I would do a search for the POI I put in there but when I do a search nothing comes up. I do not have the folder \APL2\iGo\CONTENT\USERDATA\POI should I create that folder?

You're welcome!

I believe KML's would be recognized only from APL2 hierarchy -- iGO needs to process them and generate some internal files. I do have the userdata fiolder. If you don't, probably just create it...

That did it I added the USERDATA folder and it worked! Thanks! Any thoughts on how to get the icons to work now! :D

Glad you got them working...

If you mean POI icons, if you go to settings, there's an option to assign icons to any POI catecory...

Ok I found the settings and how to assign the category but the icons I placed in the USERDATA\POI folder did not come up. IS there a paticular format i need to use? (BMP or JPG) or is there another folder I need to stick them in?

AVIC Feeds sorta kind does it for you. You oculd use a branding file with more icons, or I think if you drop a bitmap and an SPR file that matches it there, that should work too.
