so i've recently 'upgraded' from a D3 to a F900bt, and apart from everything being new and all, i really wonder why it has to respond so slowly...

so i've looked around on here for a while, and i already removed the beep sounds, changed the memory settings, turned off the fault reporting, and stuff....

but it's still slow as something really slow, so i was looking around. the european f900 doesn't have the voice recognition, and the text to speech stuff is more of an annoyance than anything else, when living in bilingual regions

anyway, the question is, can i just go around and throw away the scansoft directory? it's 180+mb that i don't use, (i don't think i do, anyway. that's why i ask first), and seen how that's more than half the data file, it would be alot faster with those files gone, right?

anyway, i'm a bit hesitant to just go throw files away, if i don't have to...

thanks

for reading some of the older post deleting/creating disk space does not help make the unit faster,
