Ok, here is the deal.
Seeing the huge price drops on the avic-f90bt i decided against the negative feedback to purchase one. The primary reason for doing so is the ipod interface and big screen and for that price I found it to be a bargain. Reading through the threads I found out that it is mod friendly and started to consider the gps feature of the unit. I did not consider it at first since I live in colombia and the unit does not come with maps for the country, hence I said to myself I would only use the gps feature as an information center for speed and altitude and as a compass.
Now a new question arises. I read that the avics have something to do with IGO and went to their website. There I noticed (in the naviextras.com website) that they have a map for my country.
My question is, can I buy this map and install it in my unit, I really don't care for US or Canada maps, since it is highly doubtful that I will visit the US in my car. Most important and as previously mentioned I do not want to cancel the ipod iterface, radio or any type of music (since I bought this as a radio not a navigation system).
Can someone please advice me,
