I got my bluetooth working great except.. When I touch volume up or volume down on the unit (avic) it turns the volume almost all the way down I can barely hear it in the background and I cannot get it back up. I cannot adjust it on the phone or with the unit. I can switch it back to the handset and I can hear the person fine but if I go back to the unit its still muted. I have to hang up and call again to get the volume back up.

yup that was EXACTLY one of my problems that i had with the unit as well. i don't think there can be anything done, its a bug in the software (one of many). i sent my unit back to the ebay seller i bought it from and got a new unit again, but haven't installed it yet.

u didn't buy it off ebay, did you?? lol

Let me know if your new one works. But I did figure out something today. (The numbers are just examples) If I go to phone settings and set my volume to any level we will say middle is 20db and max is 30db it plays at that level when I make a phone call. Now if I hit up or down on the volume it will decrease it to like 2db so you can barely hear it but if you hit volume up it does get louder but only to about 15db no matter what the original setting was. Its weird and definitely buggy!

hey, yeah im gonna let you know what happens. im prob gonna install it this monday and see how it works. but just to let you know, that is going to be my third unit. i had it replaced twice so far cuz the 1st one, the bluetooth module burned out and it would never find any phones at all. and the 2nd unit the gps was lagging and the bluetooth had this problem along w/ it would trigger my radar to go off pretty often even when im in my house in the garage all the sudden.

Sounds like you have had some good luck!

Does anyone else have any issues with volume with an HTC Phone? Are other phones working great with Bluetooth??

haha...seems like it. cuz everyone else here never really complains about this problem. i don't know why. to me, the f90bt has soooo many problems that i am really not happy.

Well just for fun I hooked my wife's Blackberry up to my radio and the volume works so its an HTC issue not an AVIC I guess.

ok. well i have a blackberry curve and my girl has a blackberry pearl. and both of our phones do that with the unit. and therefore YES it is the actual unit. not the phone!
