I have read a few things on here and what not but haven't come across.. I see all the hacks are dealing with the Sd slot.. is it not possible to do these with a thumbdrive? if not i will go pick up a sd reader/writer.. sorry for being a noobie..

Testmode can only be entered via SD card. Once in testmode, you will have access to a USB device if recognized. You can make backups to USB or load mods from it.

well then since testmode is only able to be entered with an sd card i still need a sd reader/writer.. thats what i was trying to figure out.. thanks a lot.. I still am a little nervous tinkering with it.. i know coding pretty well but on something like this idk..

Yah you can actually pick up one off either ebay or amazon. They are fairly cheap...
