Hallo,

I look thru this forum and try add speedcam_enable=1 and change scripts in places.ui but nothing make my F900Bt able show speedcam. I have downloaded latest files from my subscriptions http://www.speedcamupdate.com/ and update unit. The problem is that in Czech republic is forbiden using speedcam in navigation so are hiden.

Can you help me how override this setting?

do you have the appropriate files in the unit?

I searched my f900bt Australian, where speedcam warnings are legal. Found these files on the NAND internal flash disk:

/APL2/iGO/CONTENT/SPEEDCAM/...

SpeedcamUpdates.spud

that spd file contain camera data ? I can get txt file with speedcam for my country but what to do with it?

text files get convetred to SPDB automatically.

Normally, adding 'enable_speedcam' to the config file is sufficient. I thought that only Switzerland was hardcoded to disallow them. If Czech Republic is as well, you'll need to hack the executable to remove the limitation...

Delelete ALL the files in /APL2/iGO/CONTENT/SPEEDCAM/, then copy the new *.txt file.

The unit at the next startup will take care of the conversion.

Finally I got it to work now, there was fault in my point of view, speedcams are not visible in map mode only in navigation mode. There was my fault.

For others I add to sys.txt to bebug section speedcam_enabled=1

Then I change DATA.ZIP\ui_pioneer\common\ui\ PLACE.UI

This code will hide camera controls if you are running US (vBeta=0 or vBeta=5, different models).

Thought janekx was missing the actual camera file to the map version he had installed...

I'm pretty surprised that Czechs have the limitation, I'm from Slovakia and it seemed to be a 'public secret' where the cameras are, just about everybody knew what's the point...

I cannot help but wonder how things are nowadays, haven't been there for 5 years almost. But we all hack our units anyway
