Hi Folks,

Newbie here but I've been reading the boards for months. I have an issue syncing my Nokia N95 up to contacts (and hence VR not recognizing the name). For some reason, the Nokia sends out the Last Name, First Name no matter how I arrange the contacts order on my phone. I did a trail run were I change a couple of the contacts were Last Name = First Name and First Name = Last Name and this seemed to solve the issue. My question to all the N95 peeps or cell phone gurus out there is is there an easy way to edit all my contacts on my phone were last name = first name so I can sync up the phone/AVIC. I have about 150 contacts and don't feel like manaully changing them on the phone :(. I can change the contacts order on my phone back to the correct order after sync because I don't believe the AVIC uses the phone contact list to retrieve information...only to dial out using the info that is stored in its Contacts db.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a pic of the F90BT which I self-installed in my 2005 Explorer XLT:

Okay, I figured this out. Just an fyi for anyone out there that has a Nokia N95, you have to input FIRSTNAME LASTNAME into the FIRSTNAME detail on your N95 contacts list. Everything works like a charm now :D. Also connected my phone via the AUX2 input and can now watch all my cable programming via my HAVA setup using TV out on the phone...

Actually never mind I went back to the car and read what the text was saying before pushing ok and just sent the business card. Kind of cumbersome if you ask me specially if your contacts range in the hundred or more.

Once you have all contacts changed to FIRSTNAME LASTNAME in the FIRSTNAME detail on the phone, just mark all contacts and send as business card following the established procedure...
