Glitch or by design? (question for users with remote and BT)

I just added the remote to my system + bluetooth. Anyone notice that when you hit the phone menu button on the remote there is no way to back out of that menu with the remote? In all other menus the back menu on the remote backs you out of that function but once on the phone menu you are stuck and you have to touch "back" on the screen to get out of it. Kind of annoying.

On a side note I finally got my bluetooth tweaked to sound good on both ends by tweaking the volume and mic positions slightly.

Just out of curiosity, where about do you have the phone volume set at? I seem to be tone deaf to my girlfriends voice (Not sure if thats the Z1's fault or other reasons! ), and I cant seem to get that perfect volume vs. feedback setting.

I found in my particular case (Samsung I730 PPC Phone) that I can adjust the volume from the phone AND in the hardware settings on the HU. I got better results with the phone outputting to the right speaker only, some folks get better with the left speaker only. Also very dependant on mic position too.

It's a trail & error kinda thing. Volume settings can be accessed easily by the shortcut in map mode.

YMMV

I put the mic at the top of the driver's A pillar. And I set the voice to come out of the left speaker and the volume is 2 full bars and maybe 1/2 of the next bar, I was adjusting the volume and my wife said that at one volume level the echo was there and the next one down it was compleately gone.

I might try the same experiment with the right speaker only some time.

I have mine in stereo at 3 bars. The mic is mounted right next to my "garage door opener" buttons next to the map lights.

I just tested this again this morning and according to the wife, with the speaker on the right side only I can have the volume at 3 bars with no echo. So I think that's where I will leave it.

Did the mic come with the Z1 or with the BT adapter?
