MSN signal strength is easy... just copy code form MSND_800_480.UI file to navigatemap_800_480.ui.

Phone info might not be possible... it is handled by Parrot software and Tel.EXE, and most likely not available to the navigation software...

Thanks for the hint.... When we click the phone button on the main screen; it does display all the information i am looking for, so looks like there must be a way to get those out to the map screen.... i might be wrong....

anybody else want to share their thoughts on this...:idea::idea:

the thing is we need to hack whatever controls the main screen, there most probably is a way but like i've said someone has to hack it first

But it displays it on a separate screen, doesn't it?

Main navigation screen is controlled by iGO, which knows how to send a message to the AVIC shell to dial a POI. Shell, in turn, tells Parrot software to do dialing. As far as I know, there's no way to ask the shell about phone status.

Things like currently playing track are painted on top of the map screen by the shell as well, so the only way to get this information would be to hack one of the shell executables (probably at least the MAINMenu.EXE, and probably TEL.EXE as well). This might be possible, but far more difficult than editing iGO skin scripts...
