Just the other day I had uploaded my custom backgrounds and was happy as can be a few days later i was driving and my unit blacked out on me no video no audio nothing! Pure Black! a few short seconds later my unit powers on as if nothing had happened however my custom background images were nowhere to be found can anyone relate to this is this a serious problem and I know I can just upload them back on but just doesn't sound normal to me.....thanks for your input....

Sounds like a faulty power connection to me. If you lose power, you lose the bg's as well. Double-check the connections and reapply your bg's.
