I am planning on buying an AVIC-F90BT in the US, and then use it in Europe (much better price in the US).

Will it be possible for me to buy European maps for the unit?

Are there any other complications I might encounter?

This has been rehashed a dozen times here.

1. No, you can't _buy_ maps for it. You could load hacked ones, theoretically...

2. You won't be able to tune in to half the radio stations

3. You won't have TMC

4. DVD drive is Region 1, if you want to watch movies

You will have voice control,, though...

Not off-hand. Most units sold in US will be locked to US radio tuning steps, and generally they do not make map updates very easy...
