Hi folks,

I just got my f900bt unit from the US, and the mounting bracket or the fascia wasn't in the package. Could anyone tell me if thats the case with all units or mine was robbed? :(

I got the unit, screws, gps aerial, a/v lead, power lead without any connector on the other end, cd manual, booklets, mic.

Cheers,

mounting brackets either come ot the factory radio (iso mount) or with a dash kit (that you will need to buy) also there is a mounting cage kit that you can buy seperatly that comes with a trim ring. they dont include it because most cars that are double din you will need a dash kit to fill in the space around and the radio woll bolt right in to the dash kit (thats why it came with a bag of screws) or you will use the brackets off of the factory radio if the radio is the exact same size, there is a very small percentage of cars that will need the cage kit (VW's,custom installs)

the pioneer wire harness wont come with any other connector on the other end because you will need to buy the correct wire harness for your specifec car (every manufacture uses there own style harness)

Hi 1loudls,

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it a lot. :)

I actually rang Pioneer USA today just to clarify things and they told me that the actual mounting kit is an optional item, so I bought one today on eBay.

And as you said about the cars that some of them need the cage mine will be one of them as it is VW.

I already hooked up VW iso plug to the other end of the loose cables so the only thing left is to mount the equipment in my car, which I cant wait to do.

So now I have to wait patiently for my mounting kit and Im off to the garage! :D

Cheers,

depending on how much wiring you have behind the radio you may need to cut a little bit of plastic out to make it fit in good (on the factory radio there is a pin that sticks through a hole in the back to stabilize the radio)
