iPod doesnt work after bypass...?!?! — AVIC411 Forum Archive

Hey guys,

I haven't used my iPod in about a week, and when I went to use it today on my lunch break I dont get any sound. I can see that the song is playing, but no sound.

The only thing I have changed between now and a week ago is that I just did the bypass mod yesterday...but that shouldnt affect anything.

Please help!

Make sure that the AV1 setting is set to ipod in order for the sound to be heard.

Already cycled through the a/v inputs and nothing. Disconnected the ipod at the cable, and still nothing. Even tried my iphone and that didnt work.

Sounds like the RCA jacks pulled loose or weren't reconnected when you put it back together.

Remember, USB = ipod control, RCA = Audio and video

I'm having a similar issue for the second time. The first time it occurred during install(verified cables weren't loose) and they replaced the unit. Now it has been 2 months and it's happening again. Song is playing off the ipod but no audio out, CD works fine.
