I am shopping for a new stereo/nav for my motor home. The 2 I really like are the AVIC-F90BT and the Kenwood DNX8120. I searched this forum for references relevant to my type of install but found nothing. What I would like to ask is, since the engine is 40' from the stereo and the parking brake is very different from a normal car, can I get around the need for a speed sensor connection and parking brake hookup? Are there any other complications I haven't thought of? Thanks for helping out a noob.

VSS connection is nice to have, but not necessary. If you position the GPS antenna well and don't drive through tunnels too often, you probably won't see a difference.

For parking break... I don't know how bypass is done on Kenwoods, but for Pioneer you probably would want to ground the parking break sensor for the bypass anyway.
