I have the Z1 and the pioneer iPod adapter which basically sucks. I am going ot remove it and sell it. I would rather just plug the iPod into the AUX jack on the back.

Is there a cable that would allow me to plug the 30gb Video iPod into the aux jack on the Z1 and be able to play music and also see videos from the iPod on the Z1 screen?

Or am I just limited to audio playback?
If there is suck a cable anyone have a link to one online?

Hook that right into the AV input on the back of the Z1 and you control the ipod from the ipod itself.

Yes, with a video ipod, the audio and RCA video come out on the headphone jack. So you get one of those cables I posted in the links to above, and you connect the headphone jack into the ipod, and the RCA's into the AV input of Connector 1.

Cool, thanks. I ordered a cable.
Now I have ot get rid of that Pioneer iPod interface. The iPod locks up everytime we try to use it when we disconnect the cable.

That will make people want to buy your ipod cable off you :)

Generally the best bet is to upgrade the firmware on the ipod and then make sure your music is backed up and then reset the ipod to factory, reformat it. Then reload your music. When I had a problem with my ipod when I first got my pioneer ipod adapter, I did this and it worked and I have had no problems since.
