I'm getting the runaround and lied to by Abes of Maine about my trying to order a F700. They are insisting it's been discontinued. Also lied to me and said its replaced with the F7010 - to be released in June. Funny. How many of you here already have the F7010?

Anyone know if it truly is discontinued? I'd like to prove them wrong, or at least know this company thats been lying to me for days may be saying something truthful.

There will be new units out in June, but I haven't heard of the current models being discontinued. Either way, there will be an upgrade uption for the current models.

Thats what I thought. If the F700 was discontinued, it wouldnt be for sale at Best Buy for $650, it'd be on clearance.

It's going out of stock a lot of places online and if it's still in stock the price seems to be going up. Crutchfield just labeled it as discontinued as well.

Abe's isn't exactly the paragon of quality and solid customer service, so I would take it with a grain of salt.

Even if there is new hardware on tap, you should see decent prices and availability in a few weeks if it's hanging around for a bit. These units go in cycles, all of a sudden everyone will be slowly going out of stock, then *bam* they're all over the place again.

I just bought what is supposed to be the F700 from soundfactorypro.com. The box said that it was the 7010BT. could it be just be that the 7010 is the 700 with the 2.0 software?

The F700 was on clearance at Futureshop here in Canada for $449, but all they had was a lightly used display model. I picked it up for $249 because they couldn't find the gps antenna for it.
