I just received my F500 and decided to update the firmware. In my eagerness to install quickly, I loaded the firmware for the F900/700 instead of the F500. Here is what I see when the unit boots:

1. Bluetooth light flashes 6times while the Pioneer splash screen appears. Approx 4-5 seconds.

2. Screen turns all white. Approx. 1 second.

3. The screen turns off and the unit powers itself off.

The only way to retry is to remove/replace the battery and unplug power. I did make a backup of the flash drive before the firmware update. However, I cannot even boot with testmode; I get the same results.

I've been researching the forums without any luck. Please help...

Thanks in advance.

Pioneer download page says it's a service centre job............

You're the first I've heard of to make that mistake, so I don't think anyone has a solution, but hopefully for you I'm wrong.
