F500bt+ND-G500 wires question

Hey guys,

So I've finally got around to installing the system - but i can't figure out what the manual says about the yellow cable.

In F500BT connection guide in picture 8 they show it connected to ND-G500. Yet right there they also say to connect it to the always on 12V source.

 

So i need to connect the yellow to ND-G500 or just to 12V directly from car battery?

If you use the ND-G500, you can hook the F-500BT's yellow wire to the NDG's wire harness which has a y to connect it. You can also hook it separately to the 12v always hot, or use the NDG's, it is up to you.

So the yellow from ND-G500 also always has power?

 

If i understand you right - i should not connect direct from the battery AND yellow from ND-G500. Either one or the other, right?

Hook the battery hot to the ND-G500, and then use the y built into it's harness to plug in the yellow wire from the F-500BT. It is the easiest answer.
