I transfered the phone numbers from iPhone to the 700BT, however when people call me it just shows the numbers instead of the name because it's in the 700BT as (123) 4567890 instead of 1234567890. Anyone know of a setting or something that can be changed so it will recognize the name?

There is a phonebook editor program in the hacks threads to fix the problem. It requires you to extract the phone database from the avic using testmode, modify it and then copy it back. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=22601

go into your settings on the iphone and find the country select menu. change your setting to austraila, and resync your phone with the headunit. The Australia listing's for phone #'s doesn't have ( ) and - so by changing the country the head unit will reconize the phone numbers.

the austraila fix didnt work for me. also, if you hacked the phone book, wouldnt you need to do this every time you added a contact? Wouldn't it override everything? how annoying. Any other fix?
