hey guys, need some help here...

My unit started rebooting itself the other day. It has been working fine for several weeks and the day it started having this problem I had not done anything different with the unit. Was working fine...parked the car for a few hours...went to drive home and it would just keep rebooting.

I checked all the wiring in case a power wire had come loose....but all seemed fine.

I did some more trouble shooting and found that the unit would stay on if the car was not moving. So I unplugged the GPS antenna and drove the car around - this kept the unit from rebooting itself.

It appears there is something with the Nav function that when it tries to load the location (and move/update the location while driving) it crashes and reboots the unit. I tried pushing the restore to factory settings button in the nav settings and that did not fix it. When I push the map button with or without the GPS antenna plugged in it give a location from several minutes or hours earlier and if you try and refresh the map screen it make the location arrow go somewhat transparent.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a software issue? (I believe I have the most current software...2.0 I believe)

Thanks for your help!

UPDATE:

After reading a few other threads were others were having a similar problem I tried what worked for others and it seems to have cured my reboot issue!

I booted in Testmode and deleted the following files (in this order): gpspara3.bin, gpspara2.bin, gpspara1.bin, and gpspara0.bin

Went for a quick 10min test drive and used the Nav functions (including setting a route) and all seems to be working fine.
