sorry but im a newbie. does resetting the unit clear the harddrive of all the music i have saved? what exactly does resetting the unit do? clear the presets for amfm sirius etc? eq settings? phone book? nav address book?

There are like four different resets for this thing so you may want to refer to the manual if you are trying to do something specific. If you mean just the little button on the front, it will not clear out your music, but you will lose your presets and eq settings
