Hey guys I need help. I have had this unit for about 6 months now and I do have the newest firmware. When I turn on my car the unit will come on and I will see my background screen for a few seconds. Then it will go black and not come on again. The music from my iPod will play continue to play but nothing on the screen. However, if I press the map button my map will come up and the from there the screen will function like normal. The only other problem though, once the screen is on the is really dim so I know there must be something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is it dim even if you adjust brightness to the max?
