My AVIC-D1 face won't open.

This has happened before a few times in the past but has always righted itself after a day or so.

This time it has been shut for a few days now and I don't know if it will open this time.

I've done many searches and have known/tried a few methods to get it open (reset/wait).

I've heard it depends on the temperature, and I've found it does occur more when hot.

But like I said it's been about three days now so I don't know what to do. : )

Does any body here have any tips or tricks that may help?

I have had the same problem and what i did is leave the face at a angle therefore the motor works as soon as you start the car. No problems since and its been a couple months!

mine does the same, it seems like when it gets hot outside it does like to open, but in the winter it works great..dunno why lol..there was a face lock on the units so that people cant steal the disks i read on here along time ago..i dunno if its still on the sever or not..if i find it i'll post it here
