iPod disconnect issue.

Not sure if I am on to something but I have noticed something very interesting with the iPod and VR catalog. I own an F700 with an iPod 120gb classic. I have only owned the 2 for about 2 months so not a lot of time but some interesting findings. I only do VR update when I add/delete songs, otherwise it's always off. A couple of weeks ago I added some new songs but forgot to do the VR update. My iPod wouldn't connect about every third or forth time I would turn on my truck and I would have to unplug/plug in the USB to get the connection back. It did this for about a week and then I realized that I didn't sync the iPod so I turned on VR and updated and then turned it off again. Now for the last week my iPod has connected everytime with the radio. No need to unplug/plug in, so I was thinking the disconnect issue might be related to the catalog and iPod being out of sync. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed the same findings.

Ive got the same Ipod and Ive noticed that if I change source to FM or SD and turn the car off, it hangs the Ipod and I have to reset it. If I leave the AVIC on the IPOD source tho its fine. After reading this post Im thinking it may need a VR catalog update, since Ive loaded some new content.

Any time I have used a modified DATA.ZIP, I have had numerous disconnect issues. If I put the stock on back on, everything connects perfectly with little to no dropouts for months on end.
