While driving to work today, my z1 stopped producing any sound.. All menus are accessable... Just out of the blue all sounds are off... I pulled over and shut off the car... Restarted... And still no sounds... Radio.. Cd.. Anything... What might this be? Someone please help!!

Is there some form of a temp lock on these units when they become too hot? I restarted my car a second time and the sound all came back on... I'm totally confused!!

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I had my windshield replaced 3 weeks ago. In those 3 weeks I've been thru thunderstorms and carwashes. I went thru a carwas yesterday morning and as I was leaving I went over a bump and all audio cut out. Then as I made my way down the road over each bump the audio would kick in and out. After the truck sat all day I drove it again and it was fine.

I've narrowed it down and am pretty sure a speaker is shorting out. I'll take my door panel off in the next few days to figure it out.
