I PAID to have my Avic-z2 installed Friday. Here are the problems

1. No sound from navigation

2. Ipod shows, up I can select it, but it doesn't show songs, i can press play on IPod Touch and hear music through radio

3. CD plays very low and crackly, i can make out what the song is, barely

4. DVD plays but no sound

5. Blue tooth I can call, but I don't hear the ring or the person i called

6. the speed sensor show a NOK under status

This has been installed in a 2001 Ford f-250 Diesel Lariet

Stock radio was removed, it was a cd/tape AM/FM stereo

Thanks for the help people, i really appretiate it

If you paid to have it done you need to grab up your bill of sale and go back to that shop and put a boot in someone's ass.

They screwed it up, they're responsible for fixing it.

So is it a problem with the install, or with the unit?

Well it would be prudent to check the install first, where did you get the Z from? I will more often than not blame a bad install before I blame the hardware.

I purchased it on E-Bay, Company called dealtree, they resell Best Buy returns. Said it was tested before the sale. 1000's of sales a month. It is also reading 256 volts on the hardware summary.

Ok, an update,

I sent the unit back to Pioneer, paid the 200 dollars.

Got it back yesterday, had it reinstalled again, everything works, just about.

Before it left, the backup camera worked great, now nothing, I get the caution, see it flickering and dark picture.

i plug it into aux video in and get a perfect picture. i put in a dvd, jumper the video out to the backup rca, and still nothing.

second problem, i have an ipod touch 1st gen, radio sees ipod, ipod says it is connected. but also says no songs.

If you can help that would be great.

Thanks,

Ron
