I recently traded my car in for a truck and when i did i had to take the stereo out and put it in my new truck. I did so an have everything hooked up but for some reason i cant do an address search. I can view the map, and go to my address book, or return home but I cant manually type in an address and look it up. someone help me.

is this parked or driving?

did you try resetting the unit after installation?

That's how the system operates if you don't have the bypass or your emergency brake is not tapped properly. I would check these first.
