hey. i have the cd-i200 cable, an avic d3, and an ipod 4th generation nano. the music plays great...(although as discussed numerous times, the video does not!)... but I was under the impression that the cable would charge my ipod whilst it was plugged in!? for me it is the complete opposite... even though I have the ipod charge on the d3 set to "on", it seems to drain my ipod very quickly and once the battery has fully run out whilst plugged in... the ipod interface goes blank and i cant play my music!

and also... when i press the sat nav button the message comes up..."please insert the appropriate disk. this is not the appropriate disk". the guy who i bought it off sent me the western europe CNDV-70 disc, which evidently doesnt work. I thus cant get to the navigation menu to use the sat nav, or to even adjust my custom background, get the gauges etc.

any ideas? I look forward to hearing from you all soon.

Without knowing your location, I can't really say if the Western Europe disc is the right one...however, I'm assuming if you weren't in Western Europe, that would be an easy problem solved.

No idea on either issue. Not sure if there is an update disc available for your area, but if there is, it's possible that he updated the maps and sent the old disc. Once the maps are updated, you cannot use the old one. That, or the disc is corrupt...?

yea for some reason my latest ipod nano won't charge either?? the battery goes down so quickly, anyone know how to make it charge instead? Also my ipod connector always loose so it only play on one side (driver side left only) then I had to part it all out and tab on the rear of the D3 so it can play fully on all sides. Is there a way I can make sure it always work on all side speaker because it is a hassle to be uninstalling the head unit everytime...
