I hope I can get some help with this issue, im already getting frustrated. I JUST got the F-90BT installed today, and everything is working flawlessly. The only issue I have is my navi. I don't live in cali, but it thinks im in LA. Set up my home address, all that good stuff. I went into the navi options menu and it shows numerous red dots on globe, flashing green bar at the bottom but I have the no signal emblem. My installer went over the car with a fin tooth comb, no snags in the antenna line, hooked up correctly, im just at a loss. Did I miss setting something up?! any Ideas would be grateful! Thanks again!

It can take quite some time, assuming good reception (open sky, so not in a parking garage etc.), to acquire the almanac/position the very first time the system is put into use... (10-15 mnutes)

yea we've had some BAD storms yesterday (the day it was installed) and today its still very cloudy so im hoping that's what is wrong. I noticed the dots on the globe disappear and stuff so im guessing its trying but the cloudiness is causing it. It shouldn't do this EVERY storm should it?!

Not sure if it's because of the storms you're having, but if the bar below the globe is flashing 3 green squares then at least you know GPS is working and trying to get a fix.

OK well cool, at least I know its nothing im going to have to send in to get fixed! The GPS doesn't have anything to do with MSN direct does it?! I appreciate all the help I really do, Ive gone from frustrated to calm about the situation.

Completely unrelated.

I would still double-check that the GPS antenna is plugged all the way in and, if possible, set the antenna itself on the roof of the car, park in an open area, and wait for 15 minutes.

Having said that, do flashing red satellite dots appear to move around the globe, or are they all in the same spot. If they are all over the globe, AVIC most likely is receiving some signal, but too weak to actually determine the position...

Yes everything is plugged in correctly. The antenna is on the top of the trunk lid and I went to a VERY open area with clear sky's finally and sat for 45 minutes and waited. Yes there are flashing red dots all over the globe that do move around and i get a little bar on the side, and then it comes and goes. I got a hold of OCS and they are sending me a new antenna and it will be here by Friday, and they said that im not the first with the issue, so im hoping.

I would hope it's an antenna then...

DaReaper, Let us know if you got it working. If not I would try and get a new antenna. As for me, Im really hoping it is the antenna. I will keep everyone informed.
