I want to know if I can mute or turn off the sound that every time you enter or touch sometime, it makes the ding sound.

I need to know the proper way to make a music dvd.

Last, if I put a video on my ipod, will it play the video through the Avic-D3?

It can be done...but now I cannot remember exactly how.

Get to the Volume settings ...maybe through the Nav Menu > System tab? I have a shortcut to Volume settings on my nav screen, and in there you can turn up/down/off the "Beep" and adjust the volume of the nav guidance.

On mine I changed the settings to mute, but found that it still makes a loud hissing sound when it would be making the beep.

on the video from the ipod, it depends on what model ipod. My 32gb ipod w/ video outputs a/v, but my new ipod touch does not. you just have to push the soft button on the top left of the d3 screen where it says video, then control the ipod by hand, not through the d3.
