So I am sure these have been asked a million time, but I did some quick searches and could not find definitive answers.

This is regarding a AVIC-Z2 + Unlocked Video (upgraded to Z3 + newest Grace)

1)Can you view video by any other means besides internal DVD or the RCA inputs? I was hoping via Divx/WPA on internal hdd.

2)Is the Z3 still limited to 1000 albums? If so it seems you would max it with a (upgraded) 60Go hdd easily.

3)Is there any way to easily access the MP3 library on the internal hdd besides yanking it? Perhaps iPod->internal hdd transfer?

1) No.

2) No, the limit is 400 artists or 400 albums (has never changed). The stock 30gb drive will hold ~160, 40gb will hold ~320, and 60gb will be ~60% used when you hit 400 artists/albums.

3) No one has been able to find a way to add or remove MP3's directly to/from the internal hdd.

One additional question: Is the March 08 nav upgrade the newest maps? I thought I remember updating every year, these seem outdated.

The Z3 was released in March 2008, and that's when we were able to start updating to the Z3 image. The actuall update DVD was not released until sometime late summer 2008. We are anticipating a new map update to be released mid to late summer 2009.

1)Someone had said the Z3 had a USB connection, is this accurate? I was under the assumption you only could have USB access with the external USB control unit.

2)How many A/V inputs are there? The pioneer specs claim the Z3 has the following: "AV Bus Input" (I am assuming that is Video/Audio), Backup Camera, and a composite input. So is the "AV Bus Input" really just the IP-Bus, or another another set of RCAs? And if it is the IP-Bus they are referring why do they call it an "AV Bus" since you can't actually do video off it?

1) External USB only.

2) AV Bus is a 3rd input on the back of the Z. It is used for the TV Tuner... (Also has backup camera, and Aux RCA)
