Just finished installing my D2 and having some problems.

The radio works perfectly, but I get no sound from the CD player or iPod. The CD player appears to read the CD correctly and seems to be playing but there is no sound at all when I switch to that source. Even the usual system beeps from pushing buttons are not played.

I looked through the manuals but I didn't see anything relevant - any ideas how to fix this?

Well I solved my problem so I figured I'd post it up in case anyone else encountered the same issue.

The problem is probably more a result of my car (2002 3-series) than the AVIC unit.

In the initial setup menu (source off and press the thumb stick in), auto antenna has to be set to source instead of radio. Apparently in my car, the audio system will not output any sound unless the antenna wire has power.
