Can anyone else confirm that the displayed information on the map now shows speed in Km/h instead of mph, since doing the 2.007 mine is despite having Miles and yards set in the regional settings, the odd thing is it displays mph if I have a route setup but if I have no route it goes back to Km/h.
UK users with Firmware ver 2.007
I got no replies so either this bug is unique to my system or no one else has noticed it, I have however cured it by replacing the data.zip that update 2.007000 installed with the one i used before the update so maybe it is a bug in 2.007000.
it is not a critical one but annoying to see Km/h displayed instead of MPH.

No 2.007 here yet, but this does look like something that DATA.ZIP handles.
Thanks for the feedback Boris.
Mine is fine, shows MPH.Have reinstalled the Apps and no problems as yet.
What Apps have you re installed ? mine only read KM/h when not moving it immediately changed to mph if I started to drive, it was also ok if a route was in use. When I reinstalled my original data.zip it cured the problem, If i put the data.zip from 2.007 back in the problem re appears.
To be honest.I didn't take much notice until after I had installed the apps(It was Boris's latest..come and get it before it goes!!)Certainly after the apps install it shows MPH.

Ah, so it was only when stopped? Yeah, I think stock US DATA.ZIP did that, too. I have not been using it at all so I didn't notice. They have logic set up wrong, so when there is no valid speed, it defaults to Km/h (granted, this is what entire civilized world uses anyway
) but once you start moving, it goes to using whatever specified in regional settings.
Boris, how can you, the Uk I thought was part of the civilized world in fact we civilized America ![]()
Thanks for the info again, in fact i think I remember seeing Km/h on one of the roadshow pictures screens, on USA maps.
