I got it from Newegg.ca. I've paid over $200 for installation plus screen protector plus the cord for the iPod so I don't want to pull the unit out and have to pay to have it installed again. (Installer says the BT was the most time consuming.) Has anyone had anything like this happen before with Newegg?? They don't seem very willing to help and have told me to contact Pioneer. Pioneer won't help because Newegg is not an authorized dealer. HELP!!! How can I make Newegg send me the RCA connector??? Any and all suggestions welcome.

sounds like you will just have to keep calling newegg and b1tching until they deside to do anything or pay the $75 or so to get a new harness

btw, why was running a wire for the mic and plugging it in to the back of the unit "the most time consuming" part of the install, there is the chance that the installer was "too confused" on the mic part that he just misplaced the harness himself!

That thought definitely occurred to me. He said it was because I wanted it on the steering wheel column and he had to take the whole dash apart and also take the stuff around the windshield off because he mounted it close to the visor in the first place. For anyone who has a Miata, it works very well just in front of the odometer with both the windows and rood down. It worked very badly when it was near the visor.

I can't believe customer service at Pioneer were as negative as they were. I finally called them after getting no response via Email. I honestly couldn't believe they would talk to me like that - whoever's fault it is, I'm still the customer and have done nothing but pay my money out! Newegg is getting closer to making an agreement but so far just in the range of $35 as a credit to my next purchase. WHAT??? my next purchase??? The connectors seem to be as scarce as hen's teeth but I have located one, I think. If anyone has a spare kicking around, I'd be happy to purcahse it from you.
