Hi i have avic D3 and im getting a message "reading error" no mater what disc i insert into the unit, anyone have any ideas to what it could be?

Sounds like a dead DVD unit. You could try a dvd lens cleaner...unless the manual says not to.

i tried cleaning it and nothing i took the top cover off and the dvd spins but it but i also think that it could be a dead dvd unit any way to fix that your self
