What are you trying to accomplish, you may want to be a bit more specific? You will have to do all the mods from testmode through the SD card. If by chance your talking about the software hack/modificaiton its in the FAQ off the very first post about 1/4 way down the page.
maybe im being dumb, im usually good at these things haha, when i try to follow the instructions i like cant seem to find the file to change the speed to be able to watch movies on my ipod.
my main goal is to watch movies on my ipod while driving. well not me, my gf we do alot of driving and she gets bored.

Do the hardware bypass. It's much easier, and will never "not work".
did the hardware bypass already, it didnt help me view video while driving

that means the wire is not all the way in,
it wouldnt go in any farther and it seemed to be in all the way (eyeballing it)
can anyone explain from start to finish either how to completely do the hardware bypass or the software bypass.
i looked in those other forums and they r cluttered with every1 having problems
those who are having problems are not doing it right either.. look... I really dont want to sound mean or rude... but... all these mods WORK. PERIOD!!! if you cant get them to work the FIRST TIME... then you did something rong.... the only reason why it works on one guy and dont on the other is because that guy didnt do it right... this forum is full of newbies who think its just a pop in sd card and voila..... it is not... if you only can email and dl a few mp3s on your PC... well this is not for you.. people who mod the avic should know how to fully wire a car stereo, and know how to format and trouble shoot a PC and know how to install cracks and key generators for pirated software and shit like that.. its mostly these people that have the sence to do these mods and hacks to the avic... and when a prob comes up... in our mind we can logicly think back to waht we did rong and 9.9 times out of 10 we figure it out.... sometimes its hard to explain on the internet how we fixed it cause somtimes it just pops in our head almost like subconsciously, anyways,,, Im done... so IF YOU ARE NOT SURE,, dont do it and find someone who can instead...

it has nothing to do with not knowing what i am doing, i installed the unit myself it works great. ive never had a problem hacking systems b4, i work as a network administrator for a huge corporation. all i was asking was directions because all i am finding in these forums is "just move the black nad yellow wire two spaces over but make sure u do the other thing first" like wtf? what is the other thing (just an example). so i was wondering if someone had exactly what to do. so like chill b4 u go flippin out
there is no other thing to do.... just move that wire over and ground it with the parking break wire, to the same ground where you grounded the avic.. and if your thingys are seated propely it will work...
