Is anyone in the Fayetteville, NC area that can do the good mods for me, I have tried messing with it a bit, but no luck on the test mode. each time I try I feel like I am going to brick it.

I almost feel the same way. Im a little savy with computers and stuff. Just shy when it comes to this thing. I see all these screen shots of these mods. And i love em. I kinda wanna wait till my 3.0 gets here to see whats up. Then maybe jump on and try to keep up with all the modding that goes on with that. I just dont get all the lingo that goes on with these things. I guess everyones gotta start somewhere and hopefully it will come in time.

The first time I was about to put the SD disk in I was literally shaking. One thing I did do was read, read and read. I read about four hours a day for about six weeks before I even attempted it. It's worthwhile to read the older threads from August and September as there's a load of stuff to be learned from the early adapters.

the first time i tried it i was pretty confident, then i bricked it and had it exchanged at the store (i love canada, no questions asked when returning stuff)

the time i got the new one i played with it and bricked the unit again, i am not sure why i bricked those units, then i returned it again and still they changed it

the third time was when i got scared, but also got more into it

Alright. So i just got a little ballsy. I went to the link above and followed the directions. Pretty confident that it was right. Only thing i had quetion about was the licsence in the content folder. Where is the licsence and where is the content folder. I thought i looked pretty good. But after i rebooted and went to the map. Doesnt look like anythings changed. I did the sounds and they seem to work.

you followed all the directions and nothing in the nav screen changed? that's weird,

for the license, it goes in myflashdisk/apl2/content/license folder

could you revert back to your stock and reload the files but this time don't include the sound files, i think this happened to one other user, and that's how he got it working, don't konw how it would affect it though

Couldnt wait till tomorrow, went out there and tinkered with it, and i got it. Those instructions were pretty straight forward. (Exactly what i needed.) I think you should add those to your original thread on how to do it. Big thanks to IDT for walkin me threw it. I really appreciate it. Now my feet are wet, what next. :D

Here's a list of where files should go,

1) data.zip, ezrider.exe, and DS-digi and sys.txt goes into myflashdisk/apl2/igo

2) Asbis_PNA_EEU@0807_(NNG+TA,_WEUMRE)_ASBISGPS450 and GENERIC_iGO8_WorldWide@801Product are the license and goes inside myflashdisk/apl2/igo/content/license
