I've been looking around and so far what i've found is that the f500bt can only be installed in dash if you custom it? Is there any dash kits or anything to make installing in-dash any easier? Also do you lose your portability if you decide to install it in my double din? I really like this unit because of its price. Thanks for the help guys

it is not a double din unit, it is a portable on dash solution. there is no kit to make it a double din, it does not have all the features for it to be a double din receiver (no CD, no AM or FM) that is why it is so cheap, yes if you put this into the dash it is not portable anymore, if you want an installed unit instead of somthing ON your dash, just get a F700BT or the new U310bt
